Let Us Follow Him

The reason the title is “Let Us Follow Him” is because I think in 70% of the talks of General Conference this weekend ended with “Come Follow Me” or “Let us follow Him” or “Follow his example” I absolutely LOVED that theme and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sang Come Follow Me as well. So beautiful 🙂

First off some random things from Conference:
CEDAR CITY TEMPLE!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂 I am sure Maman is absolutely overjoyed. But then I was sad to think that Grandad will not be able to see that, but then I thought… no he will be there, with Maman every time she goes 🙂
Seriously Mo-tab… Cut the pink dresses… they aren’t appealing. I remember watching last conference and Aunt Sherida, Alison, Uncle Casey and I were not fans. hahahah They did it again.
SO SAD that the Young Women’s presidency got released. I love Sister Elaine S. Dalton. 🙂
TOTALLY spotted Spencer Calvert (Hillary’s husband) and my very dear friend Kelsey Costello in the BYU Choir. They sang SO beautifully. Truly it was a special treat to see those two, and hear the choir.
Forgot to share this scripture in my tribute to Grandad that I read the night I heard the news that brought me SO much comfort.
“And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and ahappy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are bblessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out cfaithful to the end they are received into dheaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it.”
Soooo…. This week we had a BEAUTIFUL baptism to start off the week 🙂 Francisca Licona Pacheco. She is a WONDERFUL woman who was sooooooo prepared to be baptized. We truly didn’t have to do anything, she already knew it all. 🙂 It was a special baptism, very well organized and full of the spirit. Just one more child returning to the way of her Father in Heaven 🙂 She was baptized by my companion, who also baptized his camera…. BAHAHAHHAHAHA! BUT no worries, it works thank goodness to rice. (always saves the day)

So onto my FAVORITE parts of Conference. 🙂
Favorite talks: Quentin L. Cook, Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Jefrey R. Holland, L. Tom Perry, Erich W. Kopishke, and of course Thomas S. Monson.
Quotes I took from it… just a couple cause I gotta go…
“Where ere thou art, act thy part” Elaine S. Dalton
“Never judge, only love” Craig A. Cardon
“Through service, the Lord is blessing your family, they are closer to God, and are given His peace” Henry B. Eyring
THERE ARE 64,600 missionaries. 20,000 waiting with their calls, and 6,000 in interviews. CRAZY!
“Stay on the Lord’s side and you will win, EVERY TIME!” Richard G. Scott
“To believe in God is to know that Gods rules will be justified, and there will be surprises” Quentin L. Cook
“We experience ups and downs, it is part of life” David A. Bednar
“Though we are surrounded in darkness, God promises the hope of His light” Dieter F. Uchtdorf
“Go, Do, & Be” L. Tom Perry
“To obey is better than to sacrifice” President Thomas S. Monson
“Be not afraid, only believe” Jefrey R. Holland
“Hope on, Journey on. Fan the flame of your faith” Jefrey R. Holland
“Forget not, never forget. You no longer belong to evil, but to good” D. Todd Christofferson (Totally quoted Les Mis in his talk, AWESOME)
“Be tolerant, kind, and loving. The gospel is a protection, use it.” President Thomas S. Monson and his closing remarks 🙂
I LOVED CONFERENCE! So happy to be able to hear the voices of our Prophets and apostles. We got to watch 3 of the 5 sessions in English 🙂 It was awesome!!
I am soooooooo happy and overjoyed in this moment of my life. I love you all! Press forward, and follow our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Te amo!
